This patch contains the scheduled removal of OSS drivers that:
- have ALSA drivers for the same hardware without known regressions and
- whose Kconfig options have been removed in 2.6.17.

<title>[PATCH] OSS Support for AC97 low power codecs</title>

This is a resend of a patch that has been applied to 2.4. The low power
codec functionality has also now been included in ALSA.

It checks the codec ID before doing an AC97 register reset. This allows
the kernel to support low power codecs that are powered down by a reset
command. This patch also fixes some other minor issues.

Changes:-

- Added AC97_DEFAULT_POWER_OFF to ac97_codec_ids[]

- ac97_probe now checks hardwired codec ID's before sending a reset

- Added support for WM9713

- Moved the codec specific inits after the mixer setup as some init

- tings were being clobbered.

- Added extra check so that default_digital_ops doesn't overwrite a valid
  codec_ops. (SPDIF)

<title>[PATCH] oss: AC97 quirk facility</title>

Add a quirk facility for AC97 in OSS, and add a quirk list for the
i810_audio driver.

This allows automatically "correct" behaviour for sound hardware w/ known
oddities. For example, many cards have the headphone and line-out outputs
swapped or headphone outputs only.

The code is stolen shamelessly from ALSA, FWIW...

This deals with several things
- Codecs that think they are modems but are not
- Abstracting modem detection out of drivers
- Abstracting digital switching out of drivers
- Codecs that have no volume control
- Codec plugins for specific setups
- Codec plugins for things like touchscreen/batmon on AC97
- More codec handlers

The plugin API is intentionally modelled on the other driver_register
type interfaces.
