The HNP work can be re-scheduled while it's still in-fly. This results in
re-initialization of the busy work, resetting the hrtimer's list node of
the work and crashing kernel with null dereference within kernel/timer
once work's timer is expired. It's very easy to trigger this problem by
re-plugging USB cable quickly. Initialize HNP work only once to fix this
trouble.

Current timer PD_T_SINK_WAIT_CAP is set to 240ms which will violate the
SinkWaitCapTimer (tTypeCSinkWaitCap 310 - 620 ms) defined in the PD
Spec if the port is faster enough when running the state machine. Set it
to the lower bound 310ms to ensure the timeout is in Spec.

This is about 2KB per second and will overwrite all contents of a 1MB
dmesg buffer in under 10 minutes rendering them useless for debugging
many kernel problems.

This is also an extra 180 MB/day in /var/logs (or 1GB per week) rendering
the majority of those logs useless too.

The patch addresses the compliance test failures while running
TD.PD.CP.E3, TD.PD.CP.E4, TD.PD.CP.E5 of the "Deterministic PD
Compliance MOI" test plan published in https://www.usb.org/usbc.
For a product to be Type-C compliant, it's expected that these tests
are run on usb.org certified Type-C compliance tester as mentioned in
https://www.usb.org/usbc.

The purpose of the tests TD.PD.CP.E3, TD.PD.CP.E4, TD.PD.CP.E5 is to
verify the PR_SWAP response of the device. While doing so, the test
asserts that Source Capabilities message is NOT received from the test
device within tSwapSourceStart min (20 ms) from the time the last bit
of GoodCRC corresponding to the RS_RDY message sent by the UUT was
sent. If it does then the test fails.

This is in line with the requirements from the USB Power Delivery
Specification Revision 3.0, Version 1.2:
"6.6.8.1 SwapSourceStartTimer
The SwapSourceStartTimer Shall be used by the new Source, after a
Power Role Swap or Fast Role Swap, to ensure that it does not send
Source_Capabilities Message before the new Sink is ready to receive
the
Source_Capabilities Message. The new Source Shall Not send the
Source_Capabilities Message earlier than tSwapSourceStart after the
last bit of the EOP of GoodCRC Message sent in response to the PS_RDY
Message sent by the new Source indicating that its power supply is
ready."

The patch makes sure that TCPM does not send the Source_Capabilities
Message within tSwapSourceStart(20ms) by transitioning into
SRC_STARTUP only after  tSwapSourceStart(20ms).

Since EHCI/OHCI controllers on R-Car Gen3 SoCs are possible to
be getting stuck very rarely after a full/low usb device was
disconnected. To detect/recover from such a situation, the controllers
require a special way which poll the EHCI PORTSC register and changes
the OHCI functional state.

So, this patch adds a polling timer into the ehci-platform driver,
and if the ehci driver detects the issue by the EHCI PORTSC register,
the ehci driver removes a companion device (= the OHCI controller)
to change the OHCI functional state to USB Reset once. And then,
the ehci driver adds the companion device again.

This patch adds new config_ep_by_speed_and_alt function which
extends the config_ep_by_speed about alt parameter.
This additional parameter allows to find proper usb_ss_ep_comp_descriptor.

Problem has appeared during testing f_tcm (BOT/UAS) driver function.

f_tcm function for SS use array of headers for both  BOT/UAS alternate

The first 5 descriptors are associated with BOT alternate setting,
and others are associated with UAS.

During handling UAS alternate setting f_tcm driver invokes
config_ep_by_speed and this function sets incorrect companion endpoint
descriptor in usb_ep object.

Instead setting ep-&gt;comp_desc to uasp_bi_ep_comp_desc function in this
case set ep-&gt;comp_desc to uasp_ss_bi_desc.

This is due to the fact that it searches endpoint based on endpoint
address:

Add a new device quirk that can be used to blacklist endpoints.

Since commit 3e4f8e21c4f2 ("USB: core: fix check for duplicate
endpoints") USB core ignores any duplicate endpoints found during
descriptor parsing.

In order to handle devices where the first interfaces with duplicate
endpoints are the ones that should have their endpoints ignored, we need
to add a blacklist.

Commit e0d795e4f36c ("usb: irda: cleanup on ir-usb module") added a USB
IrDA header with common defines, but mistakingly switched to using the
class-descriptor baud-rate bitmask values for the outbound header.

This broke link-speed handling for rates above 9600 baud, but a device
would also be able to operate at the default 9600 baud until a
link-speed request was issued (e.g. using the TCGETS ioctl).

Some tcpc device-drivers need to explicitly be told to watch for connection
events, otherwise the tcpc will not generate any TCPM_CC_EVENTs and devices
being plugged into the Type-C port will not be noticed.

For dual-role ports tcpm_start_drp_toggling() is used to tell the tcpc to
watch for connection events. Sofar we lack a similar callback to the tcpc
for single-role ports. With some tcpc-s such as the fusb302 this means
no TCPM_CC_EVENTs will be generated when the port is configured as a
single-role port.

This commit renames start_drp_toggling to start_toggling and since the
device-properties are parsed by the tcpm-core, adds a port_type parameter
to the start_toggling callback so that the tcpc_dev driver knows the
port-type and can act accordingly when it starts toggling.

The new start_toggling callback now always gets called if defined, instead
of only being called for DRP ports.

To avoid this causing undesirable functional changes all existing
start_drp_toggling implementations are not only renamed to start_toggling,
but also get a port_type check added and return -EOPNOTSUPP when port_type
is not DRP.

During HARD_RESET the data link is disconnected.
For self powered device, the spec is advising against doing that.

&gt;From USB_PD_R3_0
7.1.5 Response to Hard Resets
Device operation during and after a Hard Reset is defined as follows:
Self-powered devices Should Not disconnect from USB during a Hard Reset
(see Section 9.1.2).
Bus powered devices will disconnect from USB during a Hard Reset due to the
loss of their power source.

Tackle this by letting TCPM know whether the device is self or bus powered.

This overcomes unnecessary port disconnections from hard reset.
Also, speeds up the enumeration time when connected to Type-A ports.
