From 264f8f2b6c8fe64110753c25634e0f1178cbe243 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Peter Eisentraut Date: Sun, 16 Sep 2001 16:11:11 +0000 Subject: Install dynamically loadable modules into a private subdirectory under libdir, for a cleaner separation in the installation layout and compatibility with binary packaging standards. Point backend's default search location there. The contrib modules are also installed in the said location, giving them the benefit of the default search path as well. No changes in user interface nevertheless. --- doc/src/sgml/installation.sgml | 6 ++++-- doc/src/sgml/ref/pg_config-ref.sgml | 15 ++++++++++++++- doc/src/sgml/runtime.sgml | 9 +++++---- doc/src/sgml/xfunc.sgml | 8 +++++--- 4 files changed, 28 insertions(+), 10 deletions(-) (limited to 'doc/src') diff --git a/doc/src/sgml/installation.sgml b/doc/src/sgml/installation.sgml index 9e98acb407d..3aee49adf7c 100644 --- a/doc/src/sgml/installation.sgml +++ b/doc/src/sgml/installation.sgml @@ -1,4 +1,4 @@ - + <![%flattext-install-include[<productname>PostgreSQL</>]]> @@ -471,9 +471,11 @@ su - postgres <varname>includedir</varname> and are namespace-clean.
