From 6cef5d2549110c6c0abb92215c2593e652024493 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Tom Lane Date: Tue, 16 Apr 2002 23:08:12 +0000 Subject: Operators live in namespaces. CREATE/DROP/COMMENT ON OPERATOR take qualified operator names directly, for example CREATE OPERATOR myschema.+ ( ... ). To qualify an operator name in an expression you need to write OPERATOR(myschema.+) (thanks to Peter for suggesting an escape hatch). I also took advantage of having to reformat pg_operator to fix something that'd been bugging me for a while: mergejoinable operators should have explicit links to the associated cross-data-type comparison operators, rather than hardwiring an assumption that they are named < and >. --- src/backend/executor/nodeGroup.c | 5 +++-- 1 file changed, 3 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) (limited to 'src/backend/executor/nodeGroup.c') diff --git a/src/backend/executor/nodeGroup.c b/src/backend/executor/nodeGroup.c index e3aea3b789b..881dfa4f1ba 100644 --- a/src/backend/executor/nodeGroup.c +++ b/src/backend/executor/nodeGroup.c @@ -15,7 +15,7 @@ * locate group boundaries. * * IDENTIFICATION - * $Header: /cvsroot/pgsql/src/backend/executor/nodeGroup.c,v 1.44 2001/10/25 05:49:28 momjian Exp $ + * $Header: /cvsroot/pgsql/src/backend/executor/nodeGroup.c,v 1.45 2002/04/16 23:08:10 tgl Exp $ * *------------------------------------------------------------------------- */ @@ -490,7 +490,8 @@ execTuplesMatchPrepare(TupleDesc tupdesc, Oid typid = tupdesc->attrs[att - 1]->atttypid; Oid eq_function; - eq_function = compatible_oper_funcid("=", typid, typid, true); + eq_function = compatible_oper_funcid(makeList1(makeString("=")), + typid, typid, true); if (!OidIsValid(eq_function)) elog(ERROR, "Unable to identify an equality operator for type '%s'", typeidTypeName(typid)); -- cgit v1.2.3
