Merge branch 'sg/assume-no-todo-update-in-cherry-pick'
While running "revert" or "cherry-pick --edit" for multiple
commits, a recent regression incorrectly detected "nothing to
commit, working tree clean", instead of replaying the commits,
which has been corrected.
