2008-08-13[h8300] move include/asm-h8300 to arch/h8300/include/asmLinus Torvalds
Done as a script (well, a single "git mv" actually) on request from Yoshinori Sato as a way to avoid a huge diff. Requested-by: Yoshinori Sato <ysato@users.sourceforge.jp> Cc: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Cc: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2008-02-07Add cmpxchg_local to h8300Mathieu Desnoyers
Use the new generic cmpxchg_local (disables interrupt). Also use the generic cmpxchg as fallback if SMP is not set. 2006-07-14[PATCH] remove set_wmb - arch removalSteven Rostedt
set_wmb should not be used in the kernel because it just confuses the code more and has no benefit. Since it is not currently used in the kernel this patch removes it so that new code does not include it. All archs define set_wmb(var, value) to do { var = value; wmb(); } while(0) except ia64 and sparc which use a mb() instead. But this is still moot since it is not used anyway. Hasn't been tested on any archs but x86 and x86_64 (and only compiled tested) Signed-off-by: Steven Rostedt <rostedt@goodmis.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

2005-03-04[PATCH] Randomisation: stack randomisationArjan van de Ven
The patch below replaces the existing 8Kb randomisation of the userspace stack pointer (which is currently only done for Hyperthreaded P-IVs) with a more general randomisation over a 64Kb range. 64Kb is not a lot, but it's a start and once the dust settles we can increase this value to a more agressive value.
